Luke West Poley is a broadcaster from Oxford, Ohio.
Luke has 8 years of broadcasting experience, including 6 at the division 1 level. He is currently a sophomore studying Journalism and Communications as well as Art History at Miami University, set to graduate in the spring of 2026. He is well versed in on air roles of play-by-play, studio hosting, reporting, and interviewing, with a proven track record in many off-air roles, including content creation, social media, media/public relations, leadership/human resources, management, and technology.
He has 2 years of broadcast/media relations work, while also overseeing intern team with Hamilton, Ohio's Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League franchise.
Luke's college broadcasting journey began in 2019 as a broadcaster for Miami's student radio station, while a high school student locally in Oxford, Ohio. Beginning in March 2023, he began serving as Sports Director of WMSR RedHawk Radio, previously assisting under director Patrick Geshan, aiding in the growth of the station from 2 broadcasters to a staff size of 10+, broadcasting road football games for the first time, and covering all home football, basketball, hockey, and baseball games.
Luke was the only underclassman serving as a full-time play-by-play broadcaster in the Cape Cod Baseball League during the summer of 2023.
Beginning in the summer of 2025, Luke began as a Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant for the Gateway Grizzlies Professional Baseball Club in greater St. Louis.
Luke is a freelancer for flagship broadcasts at Miami University, University of Dayton, and Bellarmine University, as well as local high school football, basketball, and soccer in the greater Cincinnati area.
His resume includes a diverse set of sports, including football, basketball, baseball, ice hockey, field hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, softball, wrestling and soccer. He is always open for opportunities to expand his horizons.
